Research associate with permanent duties (PostDoc) - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Tasks
- Initiation of research clusters, interdisciplinary research projects between the departments at the IfA, in Faculty VI and also across faculties and with research institutions outside the university
- Coordination of applications for joint research projects (focus areas include: construction in existing buildings, climate-friendly and sustainable construction, recycling, historical and traditional construction methods in a global context, historical building constructions, reappraisal of German colonial history in the context of architecture and urban development worldwide)
- Acquisition of third-party funded projects in the above-mentioned subject areas, coordination of international project applications and research projects in the department
- Independent management of research projects as project leader on research topics in the department
- Organization of international conferences and meetings at the TU Berlin on the above-mentioned topics
- Publication of research results in monographs and journals
- Independent teaching of courses (8 SWS) in the Master's degree program in Historical Building Research and Heritage Conservation as well as in the cross-course and cross-institute offering segment of the department
- Linking interdisciplinary teaching and research contents
- Supporting administrative processes in teaching and participating in the further development of teaching concepts in the Master's degree program in Historical Building Research and Heritage Conservation
Requirements
- Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent), preferably in the field of historical building research and heritage conservation or similar and successfully completed doctorate, preferably in the field of historical building research
- perennial relevant research experience
- Experience in submitting applications for third-party funded projects
- Experience in scientific publishing
- The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
- Several years of teaching experience in the Historical Building Research and Conservation degree program or equivalent
- Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in the application of methods of historical building research and heritage conservation in research and teaching
Desirable:
- Experience in conducting interdisciplinary research projects and/or workshops in a global context
- Experience in the participation and organization of scientific conferences
- Willingness to work independently and responsibly in interdisciplinary research and teaching teams and to take on leadership roles
- Ability to work in a team as well as intercultural, gender and social skills
