Student assistant (80 hours per month)

Tasks

  1. Extended Reality Development: Support the Didymos-XR project by contributing to the design and development of XR environments using state-of-the-art technologies (e.g., Unity) for immersive user experiences. Participate in the creation of virtual and augmented reality applications to enhance digital twin simulations (70%).
  2. User Experience (UX) Optimization: Assist in the evaluation and improvement of user interaction with XR environments. Apply UX principles to ensure intuitive design and usability, utilizing user studies and feedback to refine XR interfaces and interactions (20%).
  3. Visualization and Communication: Assist in the development of intuitive dashboards and reporting tools to effectively communicate project results and scientific findings to both technical and non-technical audiences (10%).

Requirements

Must:

  • Experience with (or interest in) performing user studies (from design principles to analysis)
  • -Fluent in English in word and writing with strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts and project developments effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Can:

  • Experience working with (or interest in) XR/VR/AR technologies (Unity), creating digital twins and/or 3D modeling tools is highly desirable,
  • Collaborative and creative thinking
  • Good written and spoken German
