Student assistant (40 hours per month)

Tasks
The student assistant will support the setup of a benchmark server for port Hamiltonian systems, with which online submissions of code for solving pHS can be tested and objectively compared with other solutions. She*he will help with the programming of an online interface and test software, as well as a community area with accounts. She*he will work on the maintenance of the server and develop suitable container solutions with Dockers or Singularity.
Requirements
Must-have criteria:
- Skills in the use of calculus and linear algebra
- Skills in programming
- Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skill
Optional criteria:
- Programming skills in Python
- Knowledge of Linux
- Skills in numerical methods
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
