Student assistant (40 hours per month)

Tasks

The excellence cluster SCIOI (www.scienceofintelligence.de) would like to recruit motivated students for the project 'Visual information sampling', targeting a better understanding of the mechanisms of visual attention in humans and synthetic systems. Successful applicants will be integrated into an interdisciplinary team of scientists and students. The main task will be the evaluation and analysis of eye-tracking and corresponding video data (50-100%). In addition, depending on the skills and interest of the applicants, possible tasks include support in the developing latest object detection and scene graph generation models(0-50%).

Requirements

Must:

  • experience in independent project-related work and programming experience
  • good programming skills in Python
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the
    respective missing language skills.

Might:

  • experience with eye-tracking data, computer vision and/or robotics(ROS)
  • strong interest in human and machine vision
